Zimdancehall top artist Winky D has divided the Zanu PF sympathizers with his controversial music. Some of the sectors within the ruling party have since condemned his music saying that he is sponsored by the
opposition. His latest album Eureka has seen the whole nation into division with most of his shows being invaded by thugs and the police. The recent Chitungwiza show git cancelled by the police and that has since attracted attention to the parliament.
The attention to Winky D’s music has since brought confusion within the ruling party ranks as they argue on how to treat his music. As of today, his latest album is yet to be played on the national television ZBC.
Zanu PF top supporters in conflict over Winky D music
Recently, Norton MP Temba Mliswa who is an independent candidate expressed his opinion on the whole saga. He said that Winky D should be allowed to sing his music as he has never gone against the President.
His tweet then became a platform for all the supporters pf Zanu PF to express their opinions. Fans expressed why Winky D should be banned. Some of the Zanu PF fans who are Winky D fans also had other views. Sharing to his Twitter handle, Mliswa said:
Winky D has never gone against the President. He has never insulted anyone or sung politics. We know who sings politics. Winky’s music is the conscious type that is relevant to today’s youths as it awakens and conscientises them.
