RBZ governor Dr Mangudya claims there are no sanctions on Zimbabwe in a Press statement

Reserve Bank of Zimbabwe governor Dr John Mangudya has claimed that there are no sanctions affecting the institution. Dr Mangudya released a press statement following the much anticipated Al jazeera investigations video on Zimbabwean corruption by top officials. Dr Mangudya had a lot to say and defend his institution and fellow top officials who are rumored to be involved in the to be released video.

Since rumors have come out that Al jazeera would be releasing a video detailing how Gold is being smuggled out of the country, its been a hot topic across social media platforms. Many people including George Charamba have since labeled Dr Mangudya’s statement as unnecessary while some claimed that he is in panic. In the trailer, Vice President Constantino Chiwenga is labeled as a dunderhead, Indeed, the anticipated Al jazeera video is uprooting a lot and there is rumored to be so much panic on top government officials who are involved in gold smuggling.

Since it was announced that the video exposing corrupt officials is about to be released, it’s been a panic to many top officials. Since then, Nick Mangwana has admitted that there is serious corruption in the country and this had attracted so much attention. Opposition leaders like Fadzai Mahere and many others have all raised questions on what is recall on the ground if the same people are speaking of different versions of the same story.

Taking it to her Twitter account, Fadzai Mahere said:

@ZANUPF_Official has been lying that such sanctions are in place. The dunderheads have nowhere to hide.
@nickmangwana confirmed that they’re corrupt. We know they’ve failed inexcusably.
